Bridlington Harbour Commissioners are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Neil Newby on the evening of Monday 7th January 2019.
Neil was a long standing Harbour Commissioner serving under the current Constitution Order from 2004 until December 2015. Prior to that, Neil served under the previous Act from March 1975.
Having served as a Commissioner for over 40 years, his expertise and knowledge of the harbour was second to none.
Neil was a long standing harbour user, having operated many pleasure angling craft and the speedboat business over the years.
Neils presence on the harbour will be greatly missed and as a mark of respect the harbour’s flag is struck at half-mast.
With sincere condolences to Neils family.
