Bruce sadly passed away on the 24th July 2017 after a long fight, courageously fought.
Bruce had a lengthy association with Bridlington Harbour Commissioners as their legal representative, firstly through Priestman Green, where he advised on the Crane Wharf development, the purchase of the harbour bed from the Crown Estates, the development of the Lawrence Complex, Nabarro Nathanson, followed by Gosschalks Solicitors, where he was invaluable during both Public Inquiries, leading and co-ordinating the Commissioners professional advisors, working closely alongside senior Commissioners over a lengthy period of time and latterly working closely with our current Chairman, Chris Wright.
Bruce’s association with the Board is also a familial through the Gray lineage, being cousin of the former late Chairman Mr. Barry F. H. Gray.
Bruce joined the Board of Commissioners in January 2014 following retirement from Gosschalk’s the year previous. His dry wit, his legal expertise and his summing up of a situation was always invaluable.
Bruce will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
